It's already been two days since the live in Hamburg, today will be the live in Cologne!
So I better write a little something about Hamburg before we head to the venue ^-^
Our Hotel was next to... this...
Which was fine with us XD"
We only had to sleep there so it really didn't matter.
We went to the venue in Hamburg "Knust" at around 9.30 in the morning. We usually don't go to lives so early but this time we thought we'd give it a try! :D
There were already people camping in front of the venue, and since we're shy we didn't go to them at first. Instead we went to the other side of the small square next to the hall and sat there on a bench.
To be honest, our main motive to sit there was to see when the tour bus will arrive. And it did arrive pretty soon. The bus approached at around 10.00. However, they first parked along the street and we were wondering why they wouldn't park inside of the plaza. There was a barrier for cars but it was automatic, so that couldn't be the problem. Well, so we just sat there and waited.
Since there were parked cars in our field of view, we couldn't really see the bus, but suddenly we saw people going to the little coffee shop that was opposite of us. And we knew immediately it had to be them. K was the first one we recognized. And he remained the only one we recognized 100%.
Well he sat there for quite a long time, drinking coffee at first and then just smoking one cigarette after the other 8D He was wearing his black-gold Adidas jersey. I think after some time a member of Lycaon joined him (I think it was Hiyuu but I'm not sure). Maybe there were other members as well but we couldn't see the second table that was blocked by the parked cars.
Suddenly a lady spoke up to us and we jumped because she startled us. Turned out she was one of the German bus drivers. Such a nice lady <3
She told us that if we want autographs we should do it before the live because apparently there were people in Wroclaw who asked them after the live and yeah..
We told her we don't want to disturb them and we don't really need any autographs, but we had our present for Ryoga and I was hopeful I could give it to him personally.
Well, we didn't see him anywhere though, so we just observed what was happening around us. The bus couldn't park inside because a lot of cars were parking along the no parking space >_>
Apparently they had to call the police and get people to move their cars. One car had to be towed XD""
Yeah, while we watched, one of the Japanese managers was walking around, taking pictures and videos. When he saw us, wearing our BORN hoodies, he gave us a thumbs up and started filming us very... inconspicuously... lol.
I waved and made a stupid face into the camera so I hope the guys won't see it orz
Well, at one point the bus was finally able to drive into the plaza and we got our things and followed it slowly. I was still hopefull we would see Ryoga. But we were still debating whether we should really do it or not.
But then he got out of the bus and.. he was just there in all his perfection. My heart was beating so fast aah T_T
We just stood there for a while, looking forlorn and all and a lady who was working there somewhere in that house came up to us and asked us if they were our favourite band and where they come from etc. and encouraged us to just go there and stuff and yeah...
So when the manager-san saw us again he pointed at us and told Ryoga to look and signaled for us to turn around and show them our hoodies. I first didn't get it and turned around only after May told me what he wants us to do orz
Embarrassing moment no 1.
Well, we got a lot of thumbs ups and Ryoga said something, but my head was already all foggy at that point... so I didn't get it orz
Well after that... I just took all my courage together and... I guess these were the longest 50 meters I ever went but I went towards Ryoga to hand him our stupid present. I think manager-san wasn't too happy about it, but Ryoga took it anyway. I fumbled for the words I wanted to say but I... just stuttered horribly. orz
Embarrasing moment no 2.
After that I quickly went back to May, just shaking and all.
I was attacked by three girls suddenly who apparently watched me going over there and they asked me what he did what he said whether he hugged me etc and I was just like ô___O" .. what?
Well, I would have liked to enjoy that moment in peace for a little while, thank you, but yeah...
Well after that (it was around 12.00? I don't remember) we watched them getting their things inside. It was sooo sweet to watch! All the band members helped each other carrying. Everyone was carrying amps and drum pieces (Ryoga carried his costume LOL) and it was a joy to see how nice they are with each other.
In the end K waved at us before he went inside for the last time and we waved back. After that we finally went to the other side of the house to get.... in line? Well, there was none.
Someone thought it would be a great idea to go with a number system.
Guys...
THAT SHIT NEVER WORKS!
Well, since we didn't have any other choice, we also had to get our numbers. We were there since morning but got number 30 and 31?
Yeah well that was the first bummer but well. It was fine with us...
After that we just waited for our friend Anna to arrive since she decided in Munich to come to Hamburg too, spontaneously. ^__^
We waited and waited and we talked to an older fan who had some interesting stories to tell about VK bands who toured Europe, since she'd been a reporter for some time. It was nice to chat with her, the time went by rather more quickly :D
At 16:00 May went to finally fetch Anna ;A; Long long minutes for me >_>
After that everything went shitty...
When entrance time approached, people without number or with high numbers just went to the front of the line, ignored everyone who told them to go back etc.
OF COURSE IT DIDN'T WORK!! IT NEVER DOES!
Holy cow...
I was really disappointed at that time because we could have had better spots but nooo...
Anyways, it was still fine with us. We went inside and took our spots. They were cool at first. 2nd or 3rd row, plenty of space. Totally acceptable.
But after that, some group of selfish shitheads arrived behind us (because they pushed their ways through) and our formerly comfortable space dwindled to nothing.
Lycaon was first. Sadly. It was so nice in Munich to see BORN first in 2nd row and then go to the back to enjoy Lycaon. Well, two of the girls behind us tried to push to second row all the time and pretended to not being able to do anything against being shoved to the front... yeah, sure.
I really tried desperately to keep my spot, because really, I fail to see why I should move away for some selfish bitches who probably don't even know the names of the songs?
OK, I was really angry at that point, but I also knew that you just can't discuss with people like that.
Well, when they played Saba it was over anyways. The above mentioned group also consisted of a really big, really heavy guy who apparently thought it was a great idea to mosh around small girls who would just be getting crushed by his immense body.
Look, I don't know much about life and stuff, but do you really think that in VK, where 90% of the fans are female teenagers, it would be acceptable to mosh without consideration of your surroundings?
I know that the favourite saying of such people is "well, if you go to a concert you have to expect that!". I'm fine with moshing, really, it's fun and cool and stuff but if you are a huge guy surrounded by small girls, if you mosh selfishly, you're just another asshole on this planet.
And don't be surprised if you get my ellbow in your fat belly.
So, that was that. Rant over.
The band was, of course, lovely.
The setlist of that day was:
-SE-
1. THE STALIN
2. SKIN
3. Devilish of the punk
4. SATISFACTION?
-interlude-
5. ProudiA
6. BLASTED ANIMALS
7. RADICAL HYSTERIA
8. 鴉
9. BREAKTHROUGH
10. DEMONS
-en-
1. with hate
2. 黒蟻
They were soooo good. I don't remember much since I was busy keeping my spot and not getting crushed.
During BREAKTHROUGH Ryoga wanted everyone to make the peace sign with their fingers, something they picked up on in Munich I guess XD I wonder whether they will take that back to Japan XD
The interlude thingy by the way...
It was a short, unplugged kind of interlude between SATISFACTION? and ProudiA. I don't know if it's part of a new song (it was NOT -&-) or if it was kind of improvised or whatever... but it was really beautiful and quite a smooth bridge for ProudiA.
I loved that they played with hate and 黒蟻 as encore ;~;
with hate is quite special and we heard 黒蟻 when we were at last year's christmas live.
Yeah that was it!
Next one is Cologne, whooo~
