In the news today: "Charged for buying live tickets with the aim to resell them"

Ryoga: "Mejiborn's tickets? I guess they even went all the way to attach a picture. These are really quite complex news...

I think Ryoga, and especially the fans who replied to his tweet were not amused about the fact that you could read the bands' names on the ticket. It's a pity that BORN and Mejibray have to be dragged into this D:
Matenrou OPERA's name was also shown quite prominently in the news reports posted below, so probably they are the ones affected by this (it says that the confiscated goods with their name are shown in the news report).
Poor guys :(

But what happened?

Two women (one aged 39 and one aged 29) bought up a lot of the tour tickets for themselves, aiming to resell them and probably keeping the best ticket numbers to themselves (see here for good explanation on ticket numbers).
The news report says that they have spent over 2'000'000 Yen, which is roughly 20'000$... 20'000$ for live tickets. Yeah.
With that they must have bought between 520-650 Tickets.
I can't quite imagine these numbers to be honest. Especially if only two people spent so much money on live tickets. Srsly.

Here the news reports:

"Two women are charged for buying a Visual kei band's live tickets with the aim to resell them.

They are suspected to have bought the tickets in a convenience store in Shinagawa, Tokyo, with the aim to resell them.
According to the police, the women bought such a large quantity because they wanted to see the lives from the front row.
As for the remaining tickets, they wanted to sell them for more than the original price on the internet in order to get back more than the 2'000'000 they had spent on the tickets.
According to the investigation the women confessed to "having set aside the money for their fan activities".
The police assumes that there are over 50 groups participating in such black market ticket sales all over Japan."

I thought it was quite common for jouren to buy a large number of tickets of their favourite bands in order to get the best ticket numbers, but this case is quite extreme. Especially since it was only two women spending so much.
